Serving One Child, One Adult, One Community at a time...
ASPIRE, Inc.
About ASPIRE

ASPIRE is the only statewide Hispanic organization dedicated exclusively to advocating and developing the educational and leadership capacity of Hispanic youth.  ASPIRE is committed to channeling the power of collective action to help “close the gap” and “obtain educational access” among Latino youth in North Carolina. Since 2007, ASPIRE has been working at the grass-roots level to provide programs that encourage Hispanic students to stay in school, prepare them to succeed in the educational arena, develop their leadership skills, and to serve their community. ASPIRE is a very diverse organization working with substantial numbers of African Americans and non-Hispanic whites, as well as Haitians, Asians, and Africans.

Hands-on Involvement

A functional approach to development is the most effective means of achieving societal change and greater stability for the Latino/Hispanic community here in North Carolina. At ASPIRE, qualified interns and staff work side-by-side with families, volunteers, and community members to implement programs, matching best practices with on-the-ground realities and needs. This direct cooperation between ASPIRE and those from the most at-risk communities in North Carolina, is integral to the success of ASPIRE programs, and also promotes invaluable cultural understanding: an important catalyst of social change within our global community.

Comprehensive Development

Economic prosperity and community revitalization cannot be achieved without quality basic education, which in turn relies on healthy social and physical development. ASPIRE is committed to offering well-rounded educational programming for children, including health, Math/Science, computer, and art classes. Through this comprehensive approach, ASPIRE participants acquire tangible skills for life and work, while also becoming healthier, more self-confident and hopeful about their potential to contribute to their community’s brighter future.  ASPIRE recognizes that to best support children we must also empower their support networks. Inasmuch, ASPIRE’s training programs in economic, personal, and parenting skills engage current and future parents. Since our programs are multi-generational, they target many strategic groups within the community, multiplying the impact and sustainability of ASPIRE‘s efforts.
